A1. Bachelor of Ayurved Medicine and
Surgery (B.A.M.S.)
Aims and Objects
The bachelor of Ayurved Medicine and
Surgery aims at producing graduates, having profound knowledge of Ayurved, supplemented with knowledge
of scientific advances in modern medicine along with extensive practical training. After completion who
will become efficient physicians and surgeons fully competent to cater the health care services to the
society.
Admission Qualification
12th standard with science (PCB) or
any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned State Governments and Education boards provided
the candidate passes the examination with 50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and
Biology. The General Category requires 50% marks and SC/ ST/ physically handicapped requires 45%
marks.
NEET score required for admission in B.A.M.S.: GEN Category – 137, Reserved Category – 107
NEET is Compulsory. Foreign students
will be admitted having equivalent qualification and only after approval of Uttarakhand Ayurved
University.
Age Limit
Applicant should have completed 17 years of age at the time
of admission.
Duration of course
Degree Course is of 4-1/2 years and 1 year rotator Internship Training in
different departments of hospitals and dispensaries.
Total duration of course is 5-1/2 years.

Degree to Be Awarded
Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurved Medicine and Surgery- B.A.M.S).
The candidate
shall be awarded Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurved Medicine and Surgery- B.A.M.S) degree
after passing
the final examination and thereafter satisfactorily completing the compulsory rotatory
internship
extending over twelve months.
Medium of Instruction
Hindi and English.
Recognized by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine and
Affiliated by Uttarakhand Ayurved University.
B1. Ayurvedic Nursing (Paricharika)
Duration: 3 1/2 Years
Eligibility: 12th with PCB with 50%
marks.

B2. Bhaishjya kalpak (Ayurvedic Phamacist)
Duration: Two Year
