Samhita and Siddhant : The department of Samhita and Siddhant deals with study of ancient classic texts / compilations and advocates basic and fundamental principles of Ayurveda. The department also billets the linguistic study of Sanskrit and foundation of Ayurved through study of Indian philosophy; “Darshan Shastra”.

Rachana Sharir : The department caters to the study of human anatomy; both from perspectives of Ayurved as well as Modern Science. The Rachana Sharir department thus proves to be essential to understand normal human Anatomy & physiology, to understand pathology of musculoskeletal disorders and to practice specialized Ayurveda treatments such as Marma chikitsa. Department is equaled with manikin (virtual body) for demonstration purpose & cadaver for demonstration & dissection purpose.

Kriya Sharir : The department caters to the study of human physiology; both from perspectives of Ayurved as well as Modern Science. The Kriya Sharir department is of utmost importance to understand normal physiology from which pathology can be differentiated; leading to successful diagnosis and treatments. The department also conducts physiology tests including hematology, biochemistry and serological tests, prakruti parikshan, saar parikshan, pulse and blood pressure examination.

Dravyaguna : The study done under Dravyaguna Department can be divided into two parts. The first part deals with the fundamental concepts of assessment of herbs in depth such as Rasa, Virya, Vipaka, Prabhava, Guna etc. The second part deals with almost around 400 herbs in details. These herbs are the real treasure of Ayurveda and thus their identification, collection, utilization, transport, packaging, processing makes a huge difference while assessing the outcomes of Ayurved treatments. The department also deals with modern pharmacology in terms of different pharmacological groups of medicines and their actions. The Department is also equipped with scenic herbal garden spread across 2532 square meters in area with around 255 herb species.

Rasa Shastra Evum Bhaishajya Kalpana : The study done under Rasa Shastra Evum Bhaishajya Kalpana can be divided into two parts; v.i.z.; Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana. Rasa Shastra caters to the study of metals, gems etc. It is essential t understand purification procedures of metals, their applicability, proper dosages and unique processing to be utilized as medicines. Bhaishajya Kalpana on the other hand deals with the preparation procedures of medicines; passed on from one generation to another in form of tradition. The exact procedure is necessary for the formation of ideal formulations and for desired outcomes.

Rog Nidan Evum Vikruti Vigyan : The department undertakes study of pathology; from perspective of both Ayurved and Modern science. In order to treat disease; the understanding of diagnosis both in terms of Ayurved and modern science is of utmost necessity. The department enables an individual to conduct and analyze diagnostic procedures such as hematology tests, x-ray, sonography, nadi pariksha, jivha pariksha, urine examination, stool examination etc.

Swasthavrutta Evum Yoga : Ayurved advocates “health conservation of healthy and disease treatment of diseased individuals.” Most of the specialized departments in Ayurved promote students understanding and skills towards diagnosis and treatment of diseases; but Swasthavrutta is the only specialized department that focuses on health conservation of healthy individuals. As the name illustrates; it advocates diet and regimen for healthy individuals in order to conserve health. In association with Yoga; this Department becomes holistic preventive and palliative care for individuals at physical, mental and spiritual level.

Agad Tantra Evum Vidhi Vaidyak : Agad Tantra Evum Vidhi Vaidyak Departments caters to vast knowledge of Toxicology and Medicolegal aspects. As per Charakacharya; even poison used in proper dose can act as nectar and nectar administered in excessive dosages can result as that of poison. Thus the applicability of poisons and treatment of poisons becomes a specialized department of study. Also the department trains students to be alert and trained with medicolegal aspets of medical practice to work hand in hand with legal system of the country and state.

Prasuti Tantra Evum Stri Roga : Prasuti Tantra Evum Stri Roga is a specialized department that trains medical students with knowledge and skills necessary for diagnosis and treatment of Gynecological disorders. It also caters to the obstetrics services.

Kaya Chikitsa : Kaya Chikitsa is a specialized department that trains medical students with knowledge and skills necessary for diagnosis and treatment in field of general medicine.

Shalya : Shalya department is a specialized department that caters to the knowledge and skills in field of minor and major surgeries. Ksharasutra is one of the unique surgical procedures for which students are trained in Shalya department.

Shalakya : Shalakya department is a specialized department that caters to knowledge and skills necessary for diagnosis and treatment of diseases associated with ear, eye, nose and throat.

Kaumarbhritya : Kaumarbhritya department is a specialized department that caters to knowledge and skills necessary for diagnosis and treatment of diseases in field of pediatrics. Suvarnaprashan treatment given for boosting immunity from birth is in great demand and the training for the same is also given under this department.

Panchakarma : Panchakrma department is the unique specialization in field of Ayurveda. It advocates cleansing or detox procedures for preventive as well as palliative care. This treatment protocol is in huge demand across the globe and administration of Panchakrma has varied significance with reference to schools of philosophy of different parts of the country where it is being practiced.
