"Harela Mahotsav"
Harela, a traditional festival celebrated primarily in Uttarakhand, marks the beginning of the sowing season and is dedicated to the goddess Parvati. On this day, saplings are planted in the fields as a symbol of good harvest and prosperity. It also advocates saving and conserving the environment.
Shivalik institute of Ayurveda and Research celebrated Harela Mahotsav from 16th - 23rd of July. 35 different species of plants and around 80 individual plants were sowed in the campus. The Directors, Principal, teachers and students took an active part in this mahotsav.
