Awareness Program Report

An awareness program was successfully organized by Shivalik Institute of Ayurveda in reference to the NCISM letter titled “City Hounded by Strays, Kids Pay Price.” The objective of the program was to educate students and participants about safe and responsible behavior around animals, particularly stray animals, and to highlight the importance of preventing animal-related injuries.
The session emphasized key aspects such as understanding animal behavior, adopting preventive measures to avoid attacks, and learning appropriate first aid techniques in case of animal bites or scratches. Participants were also guided on immediate reporting protocols to ensure timely medical attention and reduce the risk of infections such as rabies. The program aimed to promote community awareness and encourage proactive safety practices.
To enhance participation and engagement, competitions including poster presentation and speech were conducted. Students actively took part and showcased their creativity and knowledge on the topic.

The program was efficiently hosted by Intern Muskan, ensuring smooth coordination of all activities. The competitions were evaluated by Dr. Archana and Dr. Anchal, whose expertise added value to the event. The entire program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Amita, whose efforts contributed to its success.
Dr. Bushra, Dr. Pooja, Dr. Tarannum, Dr. Yogesh, and Dr. Sushma were also present during the program.
Overall, the awareness program proved to be informative and impactful, equipping participants with essential knowledge about animal safety, emergency response, and responsible community behavior.
