Shivalik Institute of Ayurved and research, Jhajra, Dehradun, organized an Orientation program for the fresh entrants to BAMS Course for the Batch of 2020, in line with the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi and Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Harrwala, Dehradun, requirements. The objective of this program was to acclimatize the students to the new environment and get them acquainted with the institution culture. The induction program comprised of activities like introduction to the Teaching and Office Staff, Motivational speeches from renowned people in the same field, screening and review for better understanding, social sensitization, team building activities, campus orientation sessions city tour, etc.. The rationale for induction was to ensure a smooth transition to the students into the institute system. This program which was scheduled to be conducted from 15th – 30th April 2021, but had to be cut short due to the instructions received from the University via Letter No. 80/UAU/Vividh/2021-22 to conduct Online classes instead of physical presence of the students due the current Pandemic situation of Covid-19. Although, Teaching and Non-teaching Staff volunteers from across programs, worked extensively to ensure that the orientation was well organized.
