Educational visit to Ayurveda Dispensary, Majra under the department of Swasthavritta was held for BAMS batch 2020 on 30th May, 2024.

The students were acquainted with different diseased conditions like cervical spondylosis, slip disc neuralgia, knee pain and other chronic conditions. The hospital had well developed Panchkarma therapy rooms, in which various Panchkarma procedures like Greeva Basti, Kati Basti, Patra Pottali Pinda Sweda, Janu Basti, Shashti Shaali Pinda Sweda were being employed on different patients. Students were taught the basic principles behind the therapy along with the mode of administration. Along with Panchkarma the hospital had a separate portion of Yoga in which different sitting and standing Asanas like Padmasana, Chakrasana Shirshasana, Trikonasana etc were demonstrated to students along with their participation. The disease specificity of the different Asanas and their importance in lifestyle disorders was also depicted by the experts. Lastly, there was attached Anganwadi to the hospital where students learnt about different nutritional supplementations and vaccination schedule. The visit cleared the perception of students regarding different Panchkarma treatment modalities and treatment option for various lifestyle disorders.
